Honey & Lavender Burn Balm
Do you love to cook or bake? Make or use candles? Maybe there's nothing you enjoy more than the roar of a bonfire?
If you thought yes, to any of the above, then this Honey & Lavender Burn Balm is for you - trust the candle-making beekeeper, who lights a hive smoker every week.
Honey has both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can promote healing in minor burns (and minor cuts as well). I use a blend of my Ontario wildflower honey and manuka honey (known for its antibacterial and bacterial resistance) to really give this balm a healing punch. I also included a greater amount of beeswax for a balm that is a little stiffer starting out but if you prefer you can work it in your hands to soften it before applying.
Each order includes one 2 oz tin of honey and lavender burn balm. Made in small batches, each is unique and may differ slightly in color from what is shown.
Ingredients: Honey, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Vitamin E Oil, Lavender Essential Oil.
To use: On minor burns, run the burn under cool water for at least 60 seconds, pat dry, and then spread the balm liberally on the burn site. Either cover in clean gauze or cotton dressing or let be exposed to air. Reapply the balm as needed to relieve pain and promote healing.
